Sukhbir Singh Badal, whose real surname or gotra or clan is Dhillon, (born 9 July 1962) is the Deputy Chief Minister of Punjab and is president of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) political party. He was schooled at the Lawrence School, Sanawar. He is the son of the punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, a former president of SAD. He was union minister of state for industry in Second Vajpayee Ministry from 1998 to 1999.
